Name/Title: Christina Torres, Broadcast Director

Favorite Places in New York City: Now that the weather is finally warming up, I love spending the day outside at the Bronx Zoo, visiting the New York Botanical Garden, cycling in Central Park, and at every sidewalk café and beer garden in Astoria. I could spend hours inside the Museum of Natural History and Macy’s on 34th Street. S.O.B.’s in SoHo has the best live music. Of course, I’m already looking foward to the summer: Bryant Park has an awesome summer film festival, and any Bronxite will tell you that City Island is the best place to get fried shrimp and a piña colada while listening to some sizzling salsa music…just don’t feed the seagulls!

Must-Read Sites: I love TMZ and Buzzfeed to keep me up-to-date on all the latest viral updates, and I follow Refinery29 and Total Beauty for style and beauty stories. For news, I like The Huffington PostThe Daily Mailthe New York Post, and The New York Times. Finally, Hautelook, Ideeli, Rue La La, and Gilt are my must-shop sites.

Things I love Right Now: I’m loving my long-haired Chihuahua Lady-Bug (aka “Five Pounds of Fury,”) Olivia Pope and wine (simultaneously.) There are lots of great shows on TV right now: I’m an avid follower of Scandal, Empire, The Girlfriend’s Guide to Divorce, Being Mary Jane, and The Following with Kevin Bacon. I’m also really excited about the line-up for this summer’s Firefly Music Festival, and that the mounds of snow in the city are finally melting!  Finally, I’m obsessed with my new Honda CR-V (because every New Yorker can appreciate how a back-up camera can completely up your parallel-park game,) my amazing friends, and my new job!
